16 Jan According to Britain's "Sunday Express" six actors who have played James Bond over the years are set to unite at a party to celebrate 007's 50th anniversary in Hollywood. The event will take place following the premiere of the latest 007 film, "Skyfall", in October.

23 Dec Matt Fagerholm of HollywoodChicago.com says "Timothy Dalton's suavely snake-like villain, in many ways, out-charms the cocky protagonist" in his review of "The Rocketeer" re-release. Read more.

6 Dec The "Tinker Bell" movie co-starring Dalton in a voice role of Lord Milori has been retitled for "Tinker Bell: Secret of the Wings". The release date has yet to be revealed however it's been confirmed for a while that it's definitely going to premiere in 2012.

12 Nov Dalton is to reprise the role of Mr. Pricklepants in the forthcoming "Toy Story" short called "Small Fry", which will play in cinemas with "The Muppets" when it's released on February 2012.

24 Oct John Bensalhia of Shadowlocked.com recalls "Doctor Who's" 2-part special "The End Of Time". "Timothy Dalton is an inspired bit of casting as the vengeful President (THE Rassilon?)" - he writes - "and he's evidently relishing the bad guy role with gusto".

15 Oct Dalton-Bond era special. "007 Magazine" Archive Files issue dedicated to "The Living Daylights" and "Licence to Kill" can be now ordered at 007Magazine.co.uk. This is highly recommended to all Bond and Timothy Dalton fans, especially since the magazine features exclusive new articles. 5 Sep The Rocketeer: 20th Anniversary Edition is set to be released on Blu-ray on December 13, 2011. There are no specs for the Blu-ray yet, although the promise is of a "state-of-the-art digital restoration". The cult classic film co-stars Timothy Dalton as the dashing Neville Sinclair.

31 Aug The Movie Club Podcast, a roundtable podcast where members select two movies to dissect, analyze and discuss with a group of fellow movie bloggers and film fans, talks about "Zardoz" and "Flash Gordon" in the latest session. You can listen to the podcast here.

18 Aug Manchester City FC event in LA. Timothy Dalton, a lifelong fan of Manchester City FC was caught up with Roberto Mancini's squad at a beach soccer event in Los Angeles on July 24. Mirror Football interviewed Dalton on the occasion, and Manchester City FC's official website posted a video from the event featuring the actor.

22 July Adrian Peel, a journalist and a Dalton era Bond fan, has written this interesting article back in 2009 in which he says it's time for a re-evaluation of Dalton's portrayal of Agent 007.

25 June Earlier this month ballots for Emmy nominations have gone out and these include Timothy Dalton in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category. The nominations themselves will be announced on July 14. Also, in the latest "Chuck" fans survey, Timothy Dalton was chosen the favourite guest star of season 4 (receiving 87.3% of the vote).

22 June John Barry Memorial Concert. Timothy Dalton participated in the event that took place on June 20 at the Royal Albert Hall. The actor recited "A Blessing" by philosopher and poet John O'Donohue, John Barry's favourite poem. The concert included performances of Barry's scores by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Nicholas Dodd. The Concert was recorded by BBC Radio and will be broadcast in an upcoming "Friday Night is Film Music Night" special on BBC Radio 2.

29 May Timothy Dalton in "Ivan the Fool". According to IMDb.com, Timothy Dalton is rumoured to have been cast as the Devil in "Ivan the Fool", based on Lev Tolstoy's short story. Its plot is about the struggles of three brothers and a sister with the Old Devil. The film will mix animation with live acting, and will be directed by Sylvian Chomet and Thais Sher. Provisional cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Michael Gambon and Ed Stoppard. The film is due in 2015.

25 May "Lewis" star Laurence Fox, who also played in "The Sittaford Mystery", mentioned in an interview for The Mirror that Timothy Dalton is one of his heroes because he was an "intelligent and sensitive James Bond".

27 April Timothy Dalton is "TV Guide's" Favourite Villain. Timothy Dalton has won TV Guide's Fan Favourite award in a 'Favourite Villain' category for his role as Alexei Volkoff in the NBC television series 'Chuck'. Here's a video of the informal presentation of the award. Congratulations!

13 April Timothy Dalton's return as Volkoff in the latest episode of "Chuck" was another success as it met with a lot of praise from both the fans and the critics. Early viewing fugures, as for yesterday, averaged 4.1m. As usually Zap2it.com has a thorough and interesting review of the episode.

6 April On June 20 a memorial concert for John Barry will be held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. As it's been confirmed by The Timothy Dalton Chat Group, the actor will be among special guests celebrating the music of the late composer. Details.

10 March "Tales from Earthsea", a Goro Miyazaki film in which English version Timothy Dalton voiced the character of Ged, the Sparrowhawk, premiered on blue-ray on March 8th in USA.

In addition, on Feb 7th a 3 DVD box set was released in UK called "The Love Story Collection". It features six films including "Passion's Way", a 1996 period drama based on the novel by Edith Wharton and co-starring Timothy Dalton in one of his finest romantic roles.

1 March A new, 6-minute "Toy Story" short called "Hawaiian Vacation" is due in November. The film sees the return of most of the characters from "Toy Story 3", including Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants. Read more.

9 Feb "The Tourist" will premiere on DVD and Blue-ray on May 3 in Germany, May 22 in USA and on April 25 in the UK. There's no mention of bonus features at the moment.

8 Feb In an interview for Zap2it.com "Chuck" creators discuss the latest season of the series as well as plans for the future. Asked whether Linda Hamilton and Timothy Dalton will return later in season 4, they confirm that they will. "Once you have Timothy Dalton - he's just been so wonderful," say Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. "When you talk about scurrying back to the writers room, after we watched the first episode with him, we were so excited because it gave us the opportunity to build out that character some more. So [having] 11 more episodes, we definitely wanted to bring Volkoff back and have some more fun." See below for more "Chuck" updates.

31 Jan John Barry, one of the most renowned film composers, died yesterday aged 78. Barry, whose film scores included twelve Bond pictures, won five Oscars and a number of other prestigous awards for his work. He wrote music for "The Ipcress File", "The Lion in Winter", "Mary, Queen of Scots", "Dances with Wolves" and "Out of Africa" among others. For his score to "The Living Daylights", Barry's last contribution to the Bond series, he received BMI Film Music Award. In May 2004 a special 70th birthday tribute gala was held in New York for John Barry. The evening was hosted by Timothy Dalton. Click here to read more about the event. 26 Jan Here's one for film buffs. In early 1980s Orson Welles begin working on a new film, "The Dreamers", which sadly never moved on from the phase of pre-production. For one of the leading roles the famous director chose Timothy Dalton. Visit Senses of Cinema to read more about this project.

8/18 Jan "Chuck vs. the Gobbler", the third "Chuck" episode co-starring Timothy Dalton, will premiere on NBC on January 24 at 8/7c. Dalton will then return in episode "Chuck vs. The Push Mix" on January 30 [the date has been change into January 31]. According to reliable sources Dalton is set to appear at least in three more episodes of "Chuck", which yet have to be shot.

"CHUCK" - TV series, season 4, 2010-2011

Timothy Dalton plays Alexei Volkoff (aka Gregory Tuttle aka Hartley Winterbottom), a villain involved in a romantic relationship with Chuck's mother Mary Bartowski (aka agent Frost) played by Linda Hamilton. Dalton's character was first introduced in episode #4.07 "Chuck vs. the First Fight" (Nov 1) and returned in five more episodes to a great critical acclaim. Actually, it's the best press Timothy has received in years. In April 2011, soon before his final appearance on "Chuck" in the season's finale, Dalton was presented with "TV Guide"'s Fan Favourite award in a 'Favourite Villain' category.

"TINKER BELL: SECRET OF THE WINGS"
- Disney Fairies adventure with Dalton voicing Lord Milori

The picture is a fourth segment in Disney's "Tinker Bell" series of animated feature films. "Tinker Bell: Secret of the Wings" (formely "Tinker Bell and the Mysterious Winter Woods") features a new character of Lord Milori which is voiced by Timothy Dalton. The voice cast also includes Mae Whitman, Anjelica Huston, Lucy Liu and Jane Horrocks.

The film will be available to own on Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack and Digital on October 23, 2012 in USA. In some countries the film will be shown in theatres (Brazil - Sept 7, 2012, France - Oct 10, 2012, UK - Dec 14, 2012).
